Burn Ordinance

Open fires of any size are highly discouraged on the ranch due to the extreme risk of forest fires in the area. Ultimately, all residents must abide by all current Huerfano County Burn Ordinances. Review the current County ordinance >

Payment of Dues

Annual dues cover the cost of road maintenance, garbage disposal, and other associated costs. Based on feedback at the 2023 Annual Landowners Meeting, the Board of Managers has voted to raise the annual fee to $400. To pay outstanding dues, contact the LOA Board.

Agricultural Status

River Ridge Ranch is honored to have partnered with local ranchers to provide a cattle grazing lease agreement. The agreement offers unrestricted grazing access to all participating parcels for a limited number of months per year.

The agreement is available for all landowners to participate in. By opting to allow cattle on your parcel, you are able to take advantage of our agricultural status and the associated reduced property taxes. To maintain this status, you may only fully fence a maximum of 2 acres within your property. Cattle must be able to access the remaining acreage at all times. (Please note, once a residence is placed on the property, a minimum of 2 acres will be taxed as Rural Residential.*)

If you would like to opt out of the agreement and restrict cattle from grazing on your property, you must fully fence the designated area. This expense is at the cost of the landowner.
